By accessing or using LeaseSnap ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

LeaseSnap provides lease document analysis, issue detection, renewal tracking, and tenant community features for New York City renters. The Service uses artificial intelligence to extract information from lease documents you upload.

You may be required to create an account to use certain features of the Service. You agree to:

  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

When you upload lease documents or other content to LeaseSnap, you retain ownership of that content. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store and process your documents to provide the Service
  • Use AI models to extract and analyze information from your lease

We Do Not:

  • Sell your lease documents or personal information to third parties
  • Use your lease content to train AI models
  • Share your lease details publicly or with other users
  • Retain your documents after account deletion (except as required by law)

LeaseSnap includes community features where verified tenants can discuss issues with their buildings, landlords, and management companies. To participate, you must:

  • Complete identity verification (government-issued ID)
  • Verify proof of tenancy (your name must appear on your uploaded lease)
  • Agree to our Community Guidelines

Prohibited Conduct:

  • Posting false or misleading information
  • Harassment, hate speech, or threats against any person
  • Sharing others' private information without consent (doxxing)
  • Spam, advertising, or solicitation
  • Impersonating others or creating fake accounts

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend users who violate these rules. We are not responsible for user-generated content.

Define moderation policies, liability limitations under Section 230 (if applicable), and defamation safeguards.

LeaseSnap offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid features include:

  • Increased chat message limits
  • Priority support
  • Additional analysis features (as developed)

Billing is handled through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeaseSnap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Ensure disclaimers comply with NY state law and consumer protection regulations. Define maximum liability cap if applicable.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LeaseSnap, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Content you upload or post

Confirm enforceability and scope of indemnification clause.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice in the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
